Nature’s Sunshine has grown from one small workroom to five specialized labs equipped with state-of-the-art instruments to perform a comprehensive analysis of our ingredients and products. In these labs, we us thin layer chromatography, mass spectrometry and high-performance liquid chromatography to validate not only the purity and identity of each herb and botanical but also to verify the presence and amount of its active components to ensure efficacy.
Our Methods Lab is perhaps our most unique. As our product offering has grown, we’ve often outpaced the understanding of current testing methods. Our Methods Lab scientists develop and validate new testing procedures, setting new standards for the industry so that we can state with confidence the purity and effectiveness of our supplements.

Energizing Our Commitment to Sustainability
As stewards of nature, we’ve committed to lessening our impact on the natural world so that the beneficial herbs and botanicals your clients need can grow unhindered by pollution and other modern challenges.
We recently became the first herbal supplement manufacturer to convert to 100% solar power. Now every supplement produced in our Spanish Fork, Utah manufacturing facility is made using the pure, natural power of the sun, reducing our carbon footprint by over 40%!
Additionally, we’ve converted our packaging to post-consumer recycled plastics, implemented recycling initiatives and optimized our logistics to reduce landfill impact and limit emissions.

When Nature’s Sunshine entered the nutritional space in 1972, natural health was widely considered quackery.
While traditional practitioners embraced our plant-based formulas, the average person lacked their understanding. Sharing nature’s power became synonymous with sharing our knowledge and understanding of plants and their beneficial properties.
We developed robust educational materials and held trainings in homes, hotels and conference centers throughout the United States. While natural health has entered the mainstream consciousness, today the need for qualified expertise and education has only become more necessary. And as technology has advanced through the years, so have our training options, with webinars, downloads and videos now available to healthcare professionals and their clients.
